With over 12+ years of experience in Prosthetics and Orthotics, he is known for his exceptional clinical knowledge, honest patient guidance, advanced prescription planning, and high-quality socket fabrication. His passion lies in delivering comfortable, functional, and life-changing prosthetic and orthotic solutions with precision and compassion.
He has extensive experience in treating amputee patients using ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross) technology and advanced prosthetic components from leading manufacturers across the globe. His professional journey includes working with an international German-based MNC in Hyderabad, followed by senior clinical and managerial roles at RAPHADON GLOBAL HEALTHCARE LTD in Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria.
During his career, he has successfully handled complex lower limb and upper limb prosthetic cases and is highly respected for his expertise in socket design and fabrication, patient assessment, prescription criteria, alignment, and rehabilitation care. He is also specialized in scoliosis orthotic management and advanced orthotic patient care.
He was among the first clinicians in his previous organization to successfully fit the advanced REHO Microprocessor Knee, showcasing his commitment to innovation and modern prosthetic technology.

Hema is a passionate and dedicated Prosthetist & Orthotist with over 12+ years of experience in Prosthetics and Orthotics. She is known for her compassionate patient care, clinical expertise, and commitment to delivering high-quality rehabilitation services that help patients regain mobility, confidence, and independence.
She began her career as an Associate Clinical Prosthetist & Orthotist with a German-based multinational company in Bangalore, Karnataka, where she gained valuable experience in advanced prosthetic and orthotic rehabilitation. She later worked at RAPHADON GLOBAL HEALTHCARE LTD – Lagos, Nigeria, as a Clinical Prosthetist & Orthotist, further expanding her international clinical exposure and experience in managing diverse patient cases.
After returning to India, she continued her clinical practice with a reputed Indian-based Prosthetic and Orthotic organization in Bangalore for more than 3 years and was later promoted as Clinical Manager – Bangalore for her strong leadership, technical skills, and dedication to patient care.
Her special interests include upper and lower limb prosthetics, complex custom orthotic devices, and advanced prosthetic socket technologies. She is particularly recognized for her expertise in elevated vacuum prosthetic socket systems, which improve limb stability, comfort, suspension, and blood circulation during prosthesis use.
In addition to clinical practice, Hema is also involved in functional outcome research, utilizing patient performance assessments and functional tests to better understand and predict patient activity levels. Her patient-focused and evidence-based approach helps provide personalized rehabilitation solutions suited to each individual’s lifestyle and mobility goals.

She is a qualified CPO and ISPO CAT II certified Prosthetist & Orthotist with over 10+ years of professional experience in Prosthetic and Orthotic rehabilitation services. With strong clinical expertise, compassionate patient care, and dedication toward rehabilitation excellence, she has developed extensive experience in helping patients regain mobility, confidence, and independence.
She began her professional journey at Mobility India, where she worked as a Prosthetist & Orthotist for 7 years. During her tenure, she gained broad experience in prosthetic and orthotic assessment, patient evaluation, device fitting, rehabilitation management, gait training, and long-term patient follow-up care. She worked with a wide range of patients including lower limb amputees, upper limb amputees, pediatric patients, and individuals requiring orthotic rehabilitation support.

Currently, she serves as the Rehabilitation Service Manager at Kshemaa Prosthetics & Orthotics, where she plays an important role in coordinating rehabilitation services and ensuring every patient receives compassionate, high-quality, and personalized care throughout their rehabilitation journey.
Her greatest satisfaction comes from seeing patients stand, walk, and regain confidence after rehabilitation. She strongly believes that Prosthetic and Orthotic care is not only about providing a device, but also about restoring independence, hope, and quality of life.

She is certified Prosthetist & Orthotist (CPO) recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India and holds an ISPO Category I certification, reflecting her strong academic and clinical foundation in Prosthetic and Orthotic rehabilitation.
She has also completed the Wheelchair Basic Training Program (ISWP) certified by the World Health Organization, enhancing her expertise in mobility and assistive rehabilitation solutions.
She has undergone extensive clinical exposure through specialized training programs, including clinical training at NSS Udaipur as well as advanced training at leading Prosthetic and Orthotic organizations in Bangalore. These experiences have strengthened her practical knowledge and hands-on skills in patient care, rehabilitation management, and assistive device solutions.
